- Charlie also told us that Diamond would buy back the timeshare if ever we didn't want it. We've inquired several times regarding this and were told that Diamond does not have a buy-back program.
- Our maintenance fees have more than doubled throughout the years, yet we're still receiving the same lackluster vacations...that's IF we can find a time/place that's available.
Back in June of last year we sent a letter of complaint into Diamond/Bent Creek discussing all the ways we had been lied to, what paperwork we had proving the lies, etc. and regardless of the Hospitality Management Specialist we spoke to, they denied and continue to deny our request for cancellation.
- Charlie guaranteed us that the value of the ownership would increase, meaning we would be able to sell or rent for a profit in the future. This is a LIE. To prove this lie, just go on to a resale site and see what these timeshares are selling for today. Owners can barely get pennies on the dollar...not really a increase in value, if you ask me. Plus I was told that he would help us sell it when it came time. We went to them three times to get help selling and were finally told that they really do not do that.
Bent Creek Golf Village is the WORST! My husband and I have been owners with Bent Creek Golf Village since 1998 and have experienced their lies first hand. Our first purchase and our upgraded purchase in 2004 were both made with sales representative Charlie R. Johnson. While we didn't know it at the time, Charlie lied to us in order to make the sale. This isn't the right way to treat owners and the timeshare should be held accountable.
We are continuously harassed over the phone by Diamond representatives trying to get us to buy more. This is continued if/when we visit one of their locations. They MAKE you go to a meeting that's supposed to update you on the resort, but in reality it's a gigantic sales pitch with so much pressure that you feel you have to buy, or else!
Very clean and kid friendly! We love it!
-When we upgraded in 2004 we did so because Charlie told us we'd have better booking power. Again, the upgrade did not provide as promised.
If the timeshare was smart they'd get in touch with us to settle this dispute.
Please, please avoid this mess by NEVER attending any Diamond Resort.
- Charlie told us that booking vacations would be a breeze and that we could go anywhere we wanted, any time we wanted. This was a LIE. Over and over again I've found myself having to compromise my destination, time, or both just to make the vacations work. I don't think it's fair that I'm having to vacation on THEIR timeframe, not mine. This isn't why I bought the ownership.
Best resort Ive ever been to. Love the quietness. Will be back!!
Everything about the resort was awesome. I only gave it four stars because you have to sit through the timeshare talk.
- Charlie told us one of their people would help us rent out our unit. That was a lie.
Again, my husband and I have gone back and forth with their agents, but no one will really help us out.
