I'm a business owner and hate to post stuff like this, but after giving them 2 chances to " make it right" they failed. I believe in distilling consistency is of the utmost importance. I've purchased products before and was very pleased, however recently I purchased 2 bottles of salted caramel and unfortunately they tasted considerably different then others. I Returned to the company store only to find the wholesale product is manufactured at a different facility and they don't guarantee consistency. I can't purchase again as I live outside the area and am afraid I won't end up with the product I thought I was purchasing.
Their prices were okay I feel. We had to wait forever to just check out. The staff was really friendly once we got to speak to them. No one really helped us decide on a jar to try. I didn't do the testing but it was $5 for 13 shots. The cherry was very strong and pretty good.
This location is mostly all whisky. It’s a new thing for this company. I bought a bottle of one of their summer whiskeys and I wasn’t that blown away. Regardless, do the taste test. They will have something you like. Military discount here as well. Their merchandise is different here from the other two locations as well. Don’t miss this place when you are walking around in Gatlinburg. I’ve been coming to the area for 15 years and ole Smokey is one of the best things to happen to the strip.
The barrelhouse in my opinion, is much better than the moon shine place right up the street. I prefer the taste of these whiskeys over the flavored shines. Anyways, the guy that served us was nice, immediately noticing my CAC card when I went to reach for my drivers license and proceeded to tell me right off the bat about the military discount, so that was cool. Will definitely go again. There t-shirts are also cooler than the shine shop.
It was great stopping by here. Did the whiskey tasting and loved all the flavors! Took a few bottles home and made a couple of pies for the holidays. Highly recommend coming here and taste the quality of the fabulous products.
