The hotel was a pleasant surprise... Especially for the price. Every room has a great balcony view overlooking the river. Room was nice and clean. Only complaint is something they can't do anything about: it's a bit noisy thru the night on the road. I believe it's because the opposite side of the road is a large stone wall and it echos all traffic noise toward the hotel. Again, something they can't do anything about but something you'll probably want to think about before booking.
The hotel is nicely situated at the edge of downtown Gatlinburg, close enough to walk and just far enough to not have 100% of the street noise. It is a touch noisy as the hotel rooms face both the street and the babbling river behind it. The hotel has a classic feel but the rooms are well kept with some modern touches and are a more than fair size. The hotel has a free breakfast that features eggs, waffles, breakfast meats, and coffee. The registration was quick and painless and the staff is friendly and nice. The room has excellent view of the River, the best in fact, and the small balconies offer quaint evening seating. The pool is indoors, offering something to do on the event of rain, and it's new and well maintained. All in all the stay was immensely enjoyable. I only went 4 starts as there were a few things that needed updating.
Not worth the price. Room was clean but small and dated. The beautiful fire pit outside ran out of gas the first night. Asked the front desk to print something and was told that they ran out of ink. Paid $202.00 per night to stay during a cheer competition weekend when the normal price is less than $75.00 per night. You are literally next to the busy street so if you open the door to your room to go outside you wake everyone in the room up. Very noisy road. Front desk staff was not knowledgeable of the area. Asked for the closest fast food to feed my kids and they informed me of sit down restaurants instead of fast food. When I specifically asked for fast food they said there were none which was not true. A subway was less than a mile away. Internet connection was terrible at best. Very dissatisfied.
Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony is amazing. The breakfast offered is great, eggs and sausage, biscuits, pancakes, and waffles to start.... the breakfast area is kept extremely clean and the staff is so nice and helpful..
We decided to have our family Christmas gathering at this motel. Worst mistake ever. After booking our rooms in advance when my sister arrived her room had been given away. Due to the fact there are so many of us there was no space for her and her family. Needless to say, our family Christmas was ruined, we see each other once a year and this was screwed up. I will definitely tell everyone we know how Baymont Suites ruined our family Christmas. And we will never be back here to stay.
