The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The room smelled horrible like dog urine. The halls smelled like smoke. The carpet clearly was not clean (chips and dog food one the flood). The shower was warm... Never got hot. It looks like there was mold growing inside the shower ceiling. I will never stay here again!

We really like the location. Easy walk to shopping ,entertainment, and dining. It's very clean and has comfortable beds. Housekeeping came everyday. Very friendly staff. Air conditioning unit smells weird. Would definitely stay here again

It served it purpose. Staff was friendly. AC/Heat worked, bed was comfy, and it was cheap and convenient allowing us to spend more $ on going and doing. Not great, not terrible. Halls smell like old smoke and breakfast is little Debbie donuts, cereal, and toast.
we where given a smoking room(i never smoked in my life). weird smell of smokers are even coming out from AC vents.
Overall, we had a great stay and experience at the Microtell in Gatlinburg. It's obviously an older hotel and the rooms are pretty small, but it still felt clean to us. The staff was very friendly and the location to downtown Gatlinburg was incredible. The biggest issue we had in our multi-night stay was the air/heating unit. In order for it to heat properly, it had to be set to 61 degrees, otherwise it never shuts off and overheats the room. It was fine once we realized that. The coffee in the lobby was also great! We would stay here again.
Only the first person whom we met and received us in this hotel was good.
