Howards is breath of fresh air surrounded by the miasma of chain restaurants and tourist traps. The bar area is quaint and smoke free. The food is excellent and the service, if a bit overtaxed at times, is friendly and attentive. The chops and steaks are awesome and their apps are good too. Drinks are never watered down and they have a good selection of beer. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Gatlinburg.
The appetizers were better than the steak. The steak was not a good cut of meat, it was tough with very little flavor. The prices were over rated for the quality of food they serve. They did have a nice patio area along the creek you can sit and eat on.
Service was great and the food was spot on. We did not order streaks, but enjoyed everything we had.
The steak appetizer and the portobello mushroom appetizer were particularly delicious.
Highly recommend this place. The Fried Catfish bites were delicious. Burgers had wonderful grill flavor. Portions were generous and service was great. Prices were in line with other steakhouses in the area. Inside is a little dated, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. They also have outside tables overlooking the river.
Wonderful food. The service was print and friendly. It was a good restaurant. Sat on a little stream so the view was good. Weather was cold but there was outdoor seating for warmer days.
